Dr Mathew Trinca is keen to speak on a rescheduled date on his chosen topic ‘The experiences and life stories of Western Australians are fundamental to understanding Australia’s continental and national history.....The nation’s story is not a single thing but a work in common, composed of the many-stranded stories of people across the country who contribute to the unique character of Australian society.'

For this important inaugural lecture the Society welcomes Dr Mathew Trinca to speak on his chosen topic saying ‘The
experiences and life stories of Western Australians are fundamental to understanding Australia’s continental and national
history. They incorporate the remarkable and diverse experiences of Aboriginal peoples over many thousands of years to
the wonders of making a vibrant, self-reliant society on British foundations with immigrants from across the world.
Altogether, these are stories that are particular to the unique environments of Australia’s remarkable western third.’
