Making a Bequest

If you are considering leaving a bequest to History West and wish to know more about the work of The Society, please contact us. If you decide to leave us a bequest, you might like to let us know so that we can keep you up-to-date on what we are doing for history in the community. It is also possible to make a gift to History West during your lifetime, which can be tax deductible.

Leaving a bequest to The Society in your will can be a most meaningful way in which to have an ongoing impact on bringing history into our lives and ensuring it is not lost. Through your generosity, The Society and its members can make sure history is accessible to every Western Australian child and adult and that it has a positive impact on the communities in which we live.

A bequest in a will may be an amount of money or an asset (eg. a book or an artwork). It could also be a percentage of your estate, a residual gift or the naming as a beneficiary in a life insurance or superannuation policy.
